James L. Whitaker, P.C. is a well respected and well qualified firm in the area of governmental accounting and auditing services. The person in-charge of all governmental engagements, James L. Whitaker, has over 30 years of experience in auditing and consulting with local governments. Firm personnel are well aware of the many situations and problems that are peculiar to local governments and have the experience to provide municipalities with sound and practical solutions. The goal at James L. Whitaker, P.C. is meeting our clients' needs in a professional and timely manner. As a testimony to meeting our goal, many of our local governmental clients have been clients for over 10 years.

Firm personnel who have responsibility for providing services to governmental entities are required to obtain a minimum of 80 hours of training in educational classes that will enhance the employee's ability to perform audits of governmental entities in a more proficient manner. Governmental seminars and training programs are attended by the firm's employees to satisfy this requirement.

The firm's workload will allow for year round consultation and special work projects. We recognize that our clients' needs are very important and we strive to provide for those needs in a professional and timely manner.
